Science Technology Engineering and Math (STEM)

Maya Israel (Special Education, College of Education, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign) gives a MSTE Friday Lunch talk titled "Engaging struggling learners and students with disabilities in STEM learning".


Our presenters this week will describe the Merit Programs for Emerging Scholars at the University of Illinois and MIST (Merit Immersion for Students and Teachers) Project as well as share some early results of the impact of the MIST Project.


An update of iFoundry and possibly some discussion on iEFX (Illinois Engineering First-Year Experience (pronounced "I-effects")).


Join MSTE, the Office of Math, Science, and Technology for Education, for the Friday Lunch series with Brenda Pacey as she talks about Project Lead the Way (PLTW).


Avigail Snir will join the MSTE Friday Lunch group to discuss "What Etoys Could Bring to STEM Education" using examples from EtoysIllinois.org.


iFoundry is transforming engineering education for the 21st century. Dr. Price will describe the program and answer questions.


Rita Davis will share her experiences teaching Math/Robotics sessions at the Uni Summer Camp. This camp serves 4th - 6th graders from our local community and actively recruits children underrepresented at Uni and in STEM fields.
