MSTE Friday Lunches are paused indefinitely, but you can still find historical archives, including videos, on this site.

This talk investigates students' work on a problem where they developed their understandings of rates of change through group work on a problem.  Anna will show examples of classroom conversations that display students' transitions towards a deeper understanding of rates of change.

CUVolunteer is a partnership between the United Way of Champaign County, the University of Illinois Office of Public Engagement, Office for Math, Science, and Technology Education, and Office of Volunteer Programs, and a few members of the general public interested in making volunteering easier in our local community.

Since its launch, CUVolunteer already has over 100 registered organizations with over 700 registered volunteers.


Tap In Leadership Academy is a 501 c3 nonprofit academic enrichment program.  Their vision is to educate, equip and empower scholars to become future leaders.

Join us for our MSTE Friday Lunch field trip to Champaign Central High School. Jason Deal, a Math Teacher at Central, will guide us through a discussion of the math curriculum, as well as how his class recently used distance sensors.

Rides are available! We are planning to carpool to Central HS at 11:30, hoping to get there at or a little before noon. In your RSVP, you can request a ride or volunteer to be a driver. If you plan to get there on your own, please let us know as well. Thank you!
